Martha

Martha Weller, founder and president of Garden Environments, holds a BA in Environmental Design, Policy, and Planning from Stony Brook University as well as a Certificate in Landscape Design from the New York Botanical Garden.

Creative expression through problem solving is at the heart of Martha’s being, and transfers into her work as a landscape designer and project coordinator.

Martha brings to her landscape design work extensive professional experience with residential estate gardening and maintenance. She has also worked as a project manager supervising planting of large-scale municipal landscape, storm-water management, and wetland restoration projects throughout Long Island as well as regionally for contractors working with the City of New York, New York State Parks, and the Army Corps of Engineers.

Her landscape design work specializes in formal native and perennial gardens, blended native landscapes, re-vegetation, wetland, grassland, meadow, and woodland planting design. Garden Environments provides planting design and horticultural services. Structural, engineering, or stormwater design or construction is by others.

What We Do

Garden Environments enhances the existing landscape and brings clients a sense of joy and appreciation for the beauty of their natural surroundings, now and for many years to come by creating vibrant ecosystems that grow and evolve over time.  We incorporate environmental sensitivity into all of our work, and we ensure a high level of integrity and responsibility in the execution of our design and installation projects.

I look forward to helping you bring your landscape vision to fruition.
